You can make your own basil tea by crushing them and steeping the leaves in hot water. You can also make a drink out of the small black basil seeds. Soak them in water first and once they have turned sticky or gelatinous, drain the water. The seeds are tasteless and have no flavor so add them to syrup or any sweetened drink.
